John Sununu was named a director of Boston Scientific (Natick, Massachusetts). For the past six years, Sununu was a U.S. senator from New Hampshire. The company also said that Joel Fleishman will retire from the board at the annual shareholders meeting in May.

Jason Lusk was named VP of sales and marketing for Celerus Diagnostics (Carpinteria, California). Lusk recently was regional sales manager with Leica Microsystems. Celerus Diagnostics makes solutions to enhance the diagnostic capabilities of the pathology laboratory, provide clinicians with rapid, reliable, actionable diagnostic information, and advance patient care.

• InfoLogix (Hatboro, Pennsylvania) said that Richard Howe, PhD, has joined Healthcare Informatics Associates, an InfoLogix company, as VP of business development, and Shirley Hughes was named VP of healthcare consulting. Howe previously was VP of First Consulting Group and partner at Computer Sciences Corp. Hughes previously was VP of client services and director of business development for a major healthcare technology firm. InfoLogix makes mobility solutions for the healthcare and commercial industries.

Predictive medicine company PreMD (Toronto) reported the resignation of Paul Davis as a director of the company. Davis has been a director of PreMD since April of last year. Last week, PreMD reported that it was reducing staffing to a skeleton crew due to financial difficulties (Medical Device Daily, Feb. 27, 2009).

• Zimmer Holdings (Warsaw, Indiana) reported that Marc Casper, executive vice president/COO of Thermo Fisher Scientific, has been appointed to its board of directors. Zimmer develops orthopedic reconstructive, spinal and trauma devices, dental implants, and related surgical products.
