Neal Defibaugh has been named VP for clinical and regulatory affairs for AxioMed Spine (Garfield Heights, Ohio). Defibaugh joins AxioMed from Smith & Nephew’s orthopedic Division, where he served as director of clinical affairs. AxioMed Spine is a development-stage company with spinal implants to restore the native motion of the spine.

Ronald E. Keeney, M.D., FAAP, FFPM/CP, CPI/APP,was named VP of pediatric product development atINC Research (Raleigh, North Carolina). In this position, Dr. Keeney will be responsible for supporting and expanding INC’s pediatrics division. Keeney previously served INC in a consulting role. INC is a therapeutically focused contract research organization.

Joseph Bishop has been promoted from VP and chief operating officer to president/CEO of Onset Medical (Irvine, California). Onset is a private medical technology firm.

Hans-Joachim Bohm, PhD, has been named president of RochePalo Alto (Palo Alto, California). Bohm is also a member of Roche’s research management team. Bohm replaces Robert Stein, MD, PhD, who assumed another position within the Roche global organization. Roche is a healthcare group developing pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.
