PaperFree launches LEAPprn unit

PaperFree Medical Solutions (Kokomo, Indiana) reported the formation of LEAPprn Systems, a company intended, it said, “to move the company forward in offering a comprehensive suite of services and tools to enhance medical practice productivity.” LEAPprn, PaperFree said, will deliver billing services, practice management, occupational medicine systems, hosting and managed secure private network services to the company's core customer segment.

“Launching LEAPprn Systems will give us a fresh start with our products and services and act as a platform for comprehensive support of our clients moving forward,” said Steve Hawksworth, PaperFree CEO.

PaperFree provides hardware, software and services to the medical community. PaperFree serves practitioners operating in clinics and small hospitals, offerings including billing services, practice management systems, occupational medicine systems, managed private networks, and hosting services.

Cryo-Cell to open educational center

Cryo-Cell International (Oldsmar, Florida), one of the world's largest and most established family cord blood banks, reported that it has signed an amendment to its lease for 700 Brooker Creek Blvd, Oldsmar, Florida, to create a Center of Excellence to be used as a training and educational facility. Under the terms of the amended lease, effective Aug. 1, the company will add an additional suite of approximately 9,600 square feet.

The Center of Excellence, which is expected to open by October, will be housed in a separate facility adjacent to the company's corporate headquarters. Cryo-Cell will use the facility as an event center where the company will organize, on its own as well as by partnering with hospitals and other healthcare providers, a variety of pregnancy and parenting-related education classes and professional seminars.
