• Tenet Healthcare (Dallas) has named William Moore, CEO of Atlanta Medical Center, market leader for Tenet's three hospitals in the greater Atlanta area. Moore, who will continue to serve as CEO of Atlanta Medical Center, joined Atlanta Medical Center as chief executive in September 2001. Moore's appointment is part of the company's strategy to increase the local visibility of Tenet leadership by naming market leaders in key Tenet markets. The company also reported that Charles Miller, CEO of Piedmont Medical Center (Rock Hill, South Carolina), has been named market leader for Tenet's five hospitals in North and South Carolina. Tenet Healthcare, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates acute care hospitals and related healthcare services.

Tim Kahlenberg has been named CFO of Xtent (Menlo Park, California), developer of next-generation drug-eluting stent systems that deliver stents of customizable length and can deliver multiple stents with a single catheter. Prior to joining Xtent, Kahlenberg was a finance director with Medtronic Vascular.
