BrainLAB (Westchester, Illinois) reported that more than 60 medical experts from 40 cancer centers in 23 states gathered at its first U.S. BrainLAB Radiotherapy user meeting at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Orlando). The two-day conference, titled "Symposium on Advanced Precision Radiotherapy," featured 20 presentations on treatments and procedures involving advanced BrainLAB stereotactic radiosurgery, radiotherapy and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT).

IGRT is designed to enable more accurate patient positioning and more precise delivery of prescribed doses to the tumor, while reducing dosage to surrounding healthy tissue.
