The FDA’s Circulatory System Devices Panel voted by a 9-4 margin late Wednesday afternoon not to recommend approval of Acorn Cardiovascular’s (St. Paul, Minnesota) CorCap Cardiac Support Device, voicing concerns over the efficacy of data presented by the company in support of its PMA application for the mesh-wrap device.

A detailed report on the panel decision will appear in Friday’s issue of MDD.
