Janet Tewhill has been promoted from vice president of client services to senior vice president/chief operating officer atAlere Medical(Reno, Nevada) Additionally, Neil Dickman, PhD., has joined the company as vice president of sales and client services. Dickman most recently was vice president, strategic initiatives, for United Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of United Healthcare. Alere develops remote monitoring services and provides nursing assessment and patient education.

Daniel Walsh has been named executive vice president and chief ethics and compliance officer for Cardinal Health (Dublin, Ohio). He will be a member of the company’s executive committee and disclosure committee and will chair the corporate responsibility committee. Walsh previously was vice president and compliance officer at Scientific-Atlanta. Cardinal manufactures drug-delivery technologies, distributes medical-surgical and laboratory supplies and offers healthcare consulting services.

Stephen Maulbetsch has been promoted from senior vice president-acquisitions and dispositions, to executive vice president-acquisitions and dispositions for Health Care Property Investors (Long Beach, California). Maulbetsch has been with the company, a self-administered real estate investment trust, for 20 years.

Kirk Malloy, PhD, has been promoted to vice president of Illumina (San Diego). Malloy joined Illumina in 2002 as senior director of customer solutions, and later added quality assurance to his responsibilities. Illumina develops systems enabling the large-scale analysis of genetic variation and function; its flagship product is the BeadArray technology.

John Gordon has been named corporate vice president of worldwide human resources for Millipore (Billerica, Massachusetts). Since 2003, Gordon has been a consultant and, prior to that, he was corporate vice president of human resources for Sentara. Millipore provides drug development technologies and services.
