Overview

Founded in 1996, Entelos develops large-scale computer models of human disease that creates, in effect, virtual patients to speed the course of drug development. Using its PhysioLab technology, the company provides a framework for integrating data (including genomic, proteomic, physiologic and environmental) in the context of a disease, with a focus on understanding and determining clinical responses to potential treatments.

Each PhysioLab system is specific to a disease or therapeutic area. To build them, Entelos draws upon thousands of peer-reviewed papers relevant to the disease, the expertise of its scientific advisers, and its collaborators.

Entelos currently has PhysioLabs for asthma, obesity and diabetes. Entelos has expertise in the areas of metabolism, immunology and respiratory science.

The company is expanding its program to the cardiovascular system, bone metabolism, the central nervous system and oncology.
