• Jeffrey Davidson, PhD, was named senior director, clinical statistics of Octagon Research Solutions (Mountain View, California). Previously, Davidson was senior director of clinical statistics at a contract research organization. Octagon Research Solutions makes software for the life services industry.

• Skyline Ventures (Palo Alto, California) reported the promotion of Glenn Reicin to managing director. Reicin was previously a Venture Partner at Skyline, a position he has held since October 2008. Skyline Ventures a venture capital firm that focuses on medical device and biopharmaceutical investing.
