David Johnston, PhD, has been named CEO of AerovectRx (Norcross, Georgia). Johnston succeeds Ed Cannon, PhD, who becomes executive chairman of the board. Johnston most recently was senior VP of R&D for Nektar Therapeutics. AerovectRx is an aerosol drug delivery and therapeutics company.

eCardio Diagnostics (The Woodlands, Texas) reported the appointment of two members to its corporate executive team. Andrew Arroyo was named VP of information technology and Rachael Moore assumes the role of director of marketing and communications. Most recently, Arroyo was chief of innovations at LifeWatch, while Moore was managing director of Strand Communication Strategies. eCardio Diagnostics makes products for the diagnosis, monitoring, and subsequent clinical management of cardiac arrhythmias, predominantly in the ambulatory setting

Gordon Troup has been named to the board of directors of Neoprobe (Dublin, Ohio). Troup retired recently as president of Cardinal Health's Nuclear Pharmacy Services. Neoprobe makes oncology and cardiovascular surgical and diagnostic products.

Gary Ruff was named senior VP and general counsel of Tenet Healthcare (Dallas). Ruff has been Tenet's interim general counsel since March, and has been with Tenet since 1992. Tenet Healthcare, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates acute-care hospitals and related ancillary healthcare businesses, which include ambulatory surgery centers and diagnostic imaging centers.
