• Chester Huang has been appointed by St. Francis Medical Technologies (Alameda, California) to lead the company's Asia Pacific and South/Latin America strategic marketing and sales efforts. Most recently, Huang was the director of sales and marketing for Asia Pacific, Canada and Latin America for DePuy Spine. St. Francis Medical Technologies is a privately held company developing novel treatments for degenerative spinal disorders.

• Ultrasonix Medical (Burnaby, British Columbia), specializing in ultrasound and informatics, has appointed Lyle Mussman to serve as vice president of sales-North America; John Fitzgerald as general manager-Europe sales; and Peter Redden as general manager-Asia sales. Mussman was most recently vice president of sales and marketing for Mirabel Medical Systems. Fitzgerald has been in the healthcare field for 34 years, the last 10+ years of which he has been based in Europe and the previous years in the Canadian market. Redden possesses more than 20 years' experience in the Asia-Pacific region, most recently as general manager for Cooper Surgical.

• Claude Tihon, PhD, has joined Urologix (Minneapolis) as chief technology officer. Tihon most recently served as president and CEO of ContiCare Medical. Urologix develops minimally invasive medical products for the treatment of urological disorders.
