Precisedx Inc.’s digital artificial intelligence (AI) platform better predicts the recurrence of early-stage breast cancer within six years than traditional testing, a study published in Breast Cancer Research found. Understanding which patients with early-stage disease face significant risk of their cancer returning is important for guiding selection of treatment. The system reduces the variability inherent in histological characterization and grading of breast cancer (BC) today, thereby improving prognostic accuracy.

Illumina and Agendia team up for breast cancer test development

Illumina Inc. and Agendia NV are joining forces for a multiyear partnership to develop diagnostic tests for breast cancer. The collaboration will unite lllumina’s Miseq Dx sequencing platform, with Agendia's flagship genomic test, Mammaprint, which identifies a patient’s breast cancer recurrence risk. Illumina has been steadily signing partnerships over the past few years and currently has more than 30 IVD partners and 40 sequencing-based solutions for cancer under development.

HONG KONG – A new prototype hand-held device coupled with an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered app could make it possible for women to screen for breast cancer at home cheaply and efficiently. The device, the Blue Box, is the brainchild of Judit Giro? Benet, a 23-year-old junior specialist at the Center for Embedded Cyber-physical Systems at the University of California, Irvine, who is working with her Taiwanese partner Billy Chen to get their Blue Box to market.

Agendia and Paige integrating AI-based diagnostics with genomic testing in breast cancer

New artificial intelligence capabilities will be integrated into widely used genomic testing for breast cancer under a new partnership formed by Agendia Inc. and Paige.ai. The two companies are working together to enhance the genomic information from Agendia's Mammaprint and Blueprint diagnostic tests with AI-based digital diagnostics provided by Paige with the goal of redefining precision oncology.
