Syprosoft (Irvine, California) reported that it has been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation (Arlington, Virginia) for the development of a data mining system for improving the management of critical diseases and achieving better patient outcomes. Part of the research for this system will be performed under a sub-award at the University of California Irvine Medical Center.
"We are delighted to receive this SBIR grant from the National Science Foundation to develop a data mining product that will help improve patient care outcomes while reducing healthcare costs – a critical national goal today," said Dipu Ghosh, MSEE, MBA, Founder & President of Syprosoft. "We have been working on this idea for a while now and the grant together with the collaboration with UCI Medical Center will accelerate our efforts."
