Diane Adams was named executive VP of human resources of Allscripts (Chicago). Most recently, Adams was VP of human resources for worldwide sales and international theaters at Cisco. Allscripts specializes in hospital and health record processing and services.

Kay Napier was named to the board of directors of Hill-Rom Holdings (Batesville, Indiana). Napier, a past executive with Procter & Gamble, also serves as a director on the board of the Alberto Culver, the board of Exact Sciences and the board of Catholic Health Care Partners. Hill-Rom makes medical technologies for the healthcare industry.

The Illinois Hospital Association (IHA; Naperville, Illinois) said that Maryjane Wurth was named the new president of IHA. Wurth succeeds Ken Robbins, who has served as IHA president since 1983 and will retire later this year. Wurth will assume her duties as IHA's president in October. Wurth is currently COO of Healthcare Association of New York State.

Renee Winsky was named CEO of the Tech Council of Maryland (TCM: Rockville). Winsky, formerly the president and executive director of the Maryland Technology Development Corp., replaces Julie Coons, who stepped down in late 2008. TCM is a technology trade group serving the advanced technology and biotechnology communities of Maryland.

• Welch Allyn (Skaneateles Falls, New York) reported that Karen Roscher has been named the company's new senior VP/CFO. Roscher most recently was senior VP/CFO of Conexant Systems. Welch Allyn makes medical diagnostic equipment and digital and connected solutions.
