Isolagen (Exton, Pennsylvania) has named Nicholas Teti Jr. chairman and CEO.
Teti recently served as the chairman of the board and CEO of Inamed, a position he assumed in July 2001. Prior to his tenure at Inamed, Teti spent 25 years at DuPont and DuPont Merck in a number of senior management positions, including president and CEO of DuPont Pharmaceuticals.
Susan Ciallella, who will continue to serve as president of Isolagen, said: “Nick has proved that he can develop and implement a clear business strategy for a number of different companies. He is an industry leader who has strong experience and understands the regulatory, clinical development and marketing process for products.”
Isolagen specializes developes autologous cellular therapies for soft and hard tissue regeneration. The company's product candidates are based on its Isolagen Process, which uses a patient's own cells to create therapies to treat the underlying cause of the patient's condition.
