The National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ; Washiington) will meet on April 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Building in Washington.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the status of AHRQ's current research, programs and initiatives. It also will discuss developing a core infrastructure for action and will hear from Mark McClellan, administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (Baltimore) on the quality strategy at CMS.

AHRQ provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and to the director of the AHRQ on matters related to its customers and health services researchers.
