Baxter Healthcare Corp.'s Biotech Group has begun distributingthe ISOLEX50 magnetic stem-cell selection system in the U.S.,the company's Santa Ana, Calif., division announced Thursday.

The University of Chicago will be the first research center touse the system to rebuild chemotherapy patients' bonemarrow. In French research, the system produced 80 to 90percent pure stem cells. Baxter plans to market the system forclinical use worldwide in 1996.
