Myricx Bio (Myricx Pharma Ltd.), a spin out from Imperial College London and the Francis Crick Institute, has closed a series A financing raising £90 million ($114 million) to support its work focused on the discovery and development of a novel class of payloads for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
Myricx Bio (Myricx Pharma Ltd.) and Wuxi Biologics Co. Ltd. have entered into a license agreement under which Myricx will have exclusive access to a proprietary antibody that was discovered based on Wuxi Bio's integrated technology platforms.
LONDON – Myricx Pharma Ltd. has launched with £4.5 million (US$5.9 million) seed funding to advance a new approach to targeting Myc, an oncogene that has defied long years of effort to drug it. The company will take a synthetic lethal approach, developing small-molecule inhibitors of N-myristoyltransferase to perturb pathways that Myc drives, causing cancer cell death.
