Fujifilm Holdings Corp., of Tokyo, plans to acquire Cellular Dynamics International Inc. (CDI), of Madison, Wis., via an all-cash tender offer, followed by a second step merger. Fujifilm will acquire CDI's outstanding shares for $16.50 per share, or approximately $307 million on a fully diluted basis, representing a premium of 108 percent to CDI's closing price of $7.94 on March 27.
