David Robinson was named executive VP and COO of athenahealth (Watertown, Massachusetts). Most recently, Robinson was executive VP of SunGard Data Systems. athenahealth is a provider of Internet-based business services for physician practices.

Jim Fincher was named Latin American sales manager for BSD Medical (Salt Lake City). Fincher has extensive international medical device sales experience, having served as VP of sales for previous companies in the medical device field. BSD Medical makes systems used to deliver therapeutic heat for treating cancer using non-ionic radiation in the form of RF/microwave energy.

Pamela McNamara has joined the U.S. business of Cambridge Consultants (Cambridge, UK/Cambridge, Massachusetts) as president. McNamara previously was CEO of CRF, an electronic patient-reported outcomes technology company providing global wireless data collection solutions for the life sciences industry. Cambridge Consultants provides business consulting in technology critical issues.

• Cogdell Spencer (Charlotte, North Carolina) reported the promotion of Susan Dorr to president of the Southeast Region for the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Erdman. Dorr previously was president/CEO of Consera Healthcare Real Estate. Cogdell Spencer is a real estate investment trust that invests in specialty office buildings for the medical profession, including medical offices and ambulatory surgery and diagnostic centers.

Paul Joubert has been nominated to the board of Phase Forward (Waltham, Massachusetts). Board members will be elected at the company's next annual meeting, which is scheduled to take place on May 8. Joubert was a founding partner of EdgeAdvisors. Phase Forward is a provider of data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety.

Jim Stathis was named business development manager of Vytran (Morganville, New Jersey). Stathis joins Vytran from IPG Photonics, where he was director of the company's worldwide laser diode sales. Vytran is a supplier of fiber fusion splicing, assembly and glass processing solutions.
