Oscar Amparan has been named president ofArlington Memorial Hospital(Arlington, Texas), replacing Wayne Clark, who retired earlier this year. He also will serve as executive vice president of Texas Health Resources (THR), the hospital’s parent organization. Amparan has been with THR for 11 years, currently serving as senior vice president for regional operations.

King Nelson has joined Kerberos Proximal Solutions (Cupertino, California) as president and CEO. He has more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences and medical device industry, having held management positions at American Hospital Supply, Baxter Healthcare and VenPro, most recently as CEO and president of VenPro. Kerberos is marketing its initial Rinspiration System, a single-use disposable catheter delivering optimal aspiration by combining rinsing and aspiration in the coronary and peripheral vasculature.

• Longport (Glen Mills, Pennsylvania), which is developing a high-resolution ultrasound imaging system, has named Jack Brown to the newly created post of CFO and John as director of sales and marketing. Brown comes to Longport after providing consulting services to a number of entrepreneurial companies. From March 2000 to April 2002, he was CFO of Integra, prior to which he served six years as CFO of HomeCare Concepts of America. Calabrese joins Longport after serving as director of sales and marketing at Aegis Scientific/Jordon Scientific.
