The artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tool is indicated for people living with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, including those on oral medications and/or insulin regimens, and gestational diabetes.
Informed Data Systems Inc. (IDS), doing business as One Drop, scooped up $98.7 million in new financing and commitments to accelerate the expansion of its digital health platform beyond diabetes. The company raised $34.7 million in a series C round led by Bayer AG, of Leverkusen, Germany. Bayer also committed $64 million in development fees and commercial milestones related to a 2019 licensing agreement to leverage the One Drop solution across multiple therapeutic areas.

San Francisco-based Sano has been developing a wearable continuous glucose sensor that enables users to track blood glucose levels and other blood chemistry via a smart phone app for nearly a decade. One Drop will integrate the stick-on device into its personalized digital care program for diabetics and people with other chronic conditions.
Bayer AG led a $40 million series B financing for Informed Data Systems Inc. (IDS) and its One Drop diabetes management platform. The pharma giant also inked a licensing agreement to leverage IDS, which does business as One Drop, in therapeutic areas beyond diabetes and secured a seat on One Drop's board of directors.
