Mallinckrodt plc, of Staines-upon-Thames, U.K., said it is acquiring Ocera Therapeutics Inc., of Redwood City, Calif., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of therapeutics for orphan and liver diseases.
