Covidien (Dublin, Ireland) is seeing the expansion of its wound closure device product line with the launch of its V-Loc PBT (Polybuster) application. The company told Medical Device Daily yesterday, that the FDA-cleared application was prepped for launch. The firm says V-Loc PBT is the first non-absorbable, uni-directional barbed suture.
