Rein is a General Partner with Foundation Medical Partners, which was an early investor in CardioNet, and had served as a director of CardioNet since January 2006. CardioNet is a wireless medical technology company with a focus on cardiac arrhythmias.

NewCardio (Santa Clara, California) has named Vincent Renz president. He previously was COO of ClinPhone. Additionally, Ihor Gussak, MD, PhD, was named VP/chief medical officer. Previously, Gussak was a senior executive at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. NewCardio is a cardiac diagnostic and services company.

Stereotaxis (St. Louis) has named president/ CEO Michael Kaminski to the company's board. Kaminski joined Stereotaxis in April 2002 as COO. Stereotaxis makes a cardiology instrument control system for the treatment of coronary artery disease and arrhythmias.
