• Jim Frakes has been named senior VP of finance of Aethlon Medical (San Diego). Since early 2007, Frakes has been a member of the practice of Tatum LLC, an executive services firm. Aethlon Medical makes the Hemopurifier, which treats infectious disease.

• BioReliance (Rockville, Maryland) said that James Kramer, PhD, has been named VP of operations for U.S. Biologics. Most recently, Kramer served as senior VP/GM of Talecris Plasma Resources. BioReliance is a contract services company that provides biologics safety testing, toxicology, viral manufacturing and laboratory animal diagnostic services to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
