• Escalon Medical (Wayne, Pennsylvania) reported two executive management promotions, effective Jan. 1. Richard DePiano Jr. has been promoted to president and Mark Wallace to chief operating officer. DePiano joined Escalon in 2003 and most recently served as COO and general counsel. Wallace joined Escalon in 1997, serving most recently as executive VP. Escalon makes ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical products as well as vascular-access devices.

• Tim Hansen is retiring as CEO and a director of Imaging Diagnostic Systems (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), effective Jan. 1. Hansen was appointed CEO and a director of the company in July 2004. Imaging Diagnostic Systems makes laser optical breast-cancer imaging systems.
