Sunquest increases investment in radiology

Sunquest Information Systems (Tucson, Arizona) said that it has increased investment for its Sunquest Radiology Information system (RIS) software and will begin marketing it again to the healthcare industry. Sunquest's decision to increase investment in its radiology offering follows the acquisition of the company by Vista Equity Partners in October and the re-evaluation of the role of radiology solutions in the Sunquest product portfolio.

“Radiology has an increasingly important role in diagnostic medicine and we believe that there will be an accelerated convergence of laboratory workflows with image-based diagnostics. Our RIS solution shares a common code base with the Sunquest Laboratory Information System, which readily facilitates its advanced diagnostic reporting capabilities,” said Mike Snow, CTO of Sunquest.
