• Fred Mill was named director of engineering of the device division for CellCyte Genetics (Kirkland, Washington). Most recently, Mill worked as a member of the development team for Microsoft's Xbox hardware division. CellCyte Genetics makes stem cell-enabling therapeutic products.
  • Christopher Barys was named senior vice president of sales for FlowCardia (Sunnyvale, California). Barys served as VP of sales and marketing for the peripheral vascular systems business of Edwards Lifesciences. FlowCardia makes endovascular devices for coronary and peripheral chronic total occlusion recanalization.
  • Patricia Knipper, RN, was named VP of global marketing development of Coherex Medical (Salt Lake City). Knipper previously worked at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. Coherex Medical focuses on structural heart disease and conditions.
  • Scott Gill was named CFO of Isto Technologies (St. Louis). Gill previously was a director in the investment banking group at A.G. Edwards & Sons. Isto is a privately held orthobiologic company.
  • William Shea has been elected chairman of Lucid (Rochester, New York) after previously serving as CEO of Conseco. Lucid specializes in medical imaging.
  • WaveLight (Sterling, Virginia) said that Blake Michaels has assumed all strategic marketing responsibilities for the U.S. market. Michaels first joined WaveLight in December 2005 as VP of sales. WaveLight specializes in refractive laser systems.
