• Immucor (Norcross, Georgia) has hired Richard Flynt as vice president and CFO, effective Dec. 10. Flynt most recently served as VP of finance with McKesson. He replaces Patrick Waddy, who resigned as CFO but will now serve as VP of international finance for the company. Immucor makes reagents and systems used by hospitals, reference laboratories and donor centers to detect and identify certain properties of the cell and serum components of blood prior to transfusion.
  • InfuSystem Holdings has appointed David Haar to the newly created position of vice president of marketing. Previously, Haar held a similar post at National Medical Card. InfuSystem provides external ambulatory infusion pump services to doctors and their patients allowing for the gradual delivery of a drug over a period of days in the privacy of one's home, rather than higher dose treatments, as is the case of chemotherapy administered in a hospital setting or doctor's office.
  • The Securities and Exchange Commission has named Wayne Carnall chief accountant of the agency's Division of Corporation Finance. He will be the principal advisor to John White, director of the division, on accounting and auditing matters. Carnall has been a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers since 1997. The SEC also named Brian Breheny as deputy director for legal and regulatory policy in the Division of Corporation Finance. Breheny has served as chief of the Office of Mergers and Acquisitions in the division since July 2003. Previously he was an associate at Clifford Chance US in its New York and London offices.
