• Michael Seidenman has been named VP of sales of BioElectronics (Frederick, Maryland). Seidenman is a licensed pharmacist, a surgical appliance technician and is well-versed in electro medicine devices. BioElectronics makes ActiPatch – a drug free anti-inflammatory patch.
• John Slamin has been named VP of implant engineering for the knee at ConforMIS (Burlington, Massachusetts). Slamin previously spent more than 30 years as a member of the R&D arm of Johnson & Johnson’s Orthopaedic Division. ConforMIS makes minimally invasive devices for treatment of osteoarthritis and joint damage.
• Thomas Glover was named CEO of Myomo (Boston). He previously was president/CEO of Vasomedical. Myomo makes non-invasive medical devices.
• Timothy Adams was named CFO of Orthofix International (Huntersville, North Carolina). Adams joins Orthofix after three years as CFO for Cytyc, a medical device and diagnostics company that was acquired last month by Hologic. Orthofix International makes minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical products for the spine, orthopedic and sports medicine markets.
• Richard Wagner was named president/CEO of SRU Biosystems (Woburn, Massachusetts). He most recently was executive VP of research at Praecis Pharmaceuticals. SRU Biosystems makes highly sensitive labeled and label-free detection technologies.
• Steve Price has been named president of sales and marketing for Telemedicus (Houston), which is commercializing mobile medical communications solutions for bi-directional audio, video and patient data communication between a remote unit such as a rural ambulance service or med-flight helicopter, and the physician in the ER. Prior to joining Telemedicus, Price was vice president of sales and marketing at Millar Instruments.
