Scott Capps has been promoted to VP of clinical research of CryoLife (Atlanta). Capps was VP and GM of CryoLife Europa since February 2005. David Hollinworth, PhD, will assume Capps’ previous position at CryoLife Europa. Previously, Hollinworth was CEO of Chameleon Biosurfaces. CryoLife is a biomaterials, medical device and tissue processing company.

• InSight Health Services Holdings (Lake Forest, California) said that Bret Jorgensen is leaving InSight as president/CEO, effective Nov. 15, to pursue other interests. He will remain as a consultant to the company for a six-month period during the transition. InSight makes diagnostic imaging services.

Michael Ryan has been named senior VP of the medical division of Misonix (Farmingdale, New York). Most recently Ryan served as senior VP and general manager of Nomos radiation oncology. Misonix makes ultrasonic medical device technology.

Carl Duhnoski was promoted to VP and chief information officer (CIO) of PSS World Medical (Jacksonville, Florida). Duhnoski has been with the company for two years as senior director of IT infrastructure and served as interim CIO for the past three months. PSS is a distributor of medical products to physicians and elder care providers through its two business units.
