Rick Smith has been named the next president/CEO of the American Liver Foundation (ALF; New York), effective Nov. 5. Smith, a non-profit executive with experience leading national health organizations, will succeed interim CEO John Corwin, who has led the Foundation since December of 2006. ALF provides research, education and advocacy for those affected by liver-related diseases including hepatitis.

Christopher Holden has been named president/CEO of AmSurg (Nashville, Tennessee). Holden was previously with Triad Hospitals. AmSurg provides physician practice-based ambulatory surgery centers in partnership with surgical and other group practices.

Dennis Smith has been named CFO of TIGroup (Los Angeles). Smith has served as a director on the company’s board since 2001. Smith was most recently CEO of Cross Shore Acquisition. TIGroup is a financial solutions provider focused on ambulatory surgical centers.
