James Ehlen, MD, was named CEO of Epien Medical (Minneapolis). Most recently, Ehlen served as chairman for Halleland Health Consulting. Epien makes topical products that are designed to enhance the repair of damaged epithelial tissue.

• Exagen Diagnostics (Albuquerque, New Mexico) hired two directors in newly-created positions in advance of the launch of its genomic diagnostic test product, which will predict the likelihood of breast cancer metastasis in early-stage patients. Barbara Preisel-Simmons, PhD, was named senior director of clinical affairs. Simmons was previously with Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics. Angela Marquez was named human resources director. Marquez most recently worked at Avila Retail Development and Management.

• Lehman Millet (Boston), a medical device, diagnostics and specialty pharmaceutical agency, reported the appointment of key hires into its strategy, account planning, account services and creative teams. Lee Stayton was named Interactive Strategist; Stayton previously worked at Artmedialab International. Jennifer Hruska was named senior planner, and Kristin Morris named planner. Previously, Hruska was a marketing specialist at AMP Agency; Morris worked for Littleton Advertising & Marketing. William Hatcher (account supervisor) and Sarah Clark (account coordinator) joined the account services department. Hatcher worked for Grey Healthcare, and Clark comes from Cronin and Company. Finally, Frank Lopresti was named senior art director. Lopresti previously worked at Hill, Holliday, Conners, and Comopulos.
