• Mike Dolan will head up the sales and business development efforts of Acuo Technologies (St. Paul, Minnesota). Dolan was most recently a senior director of sales with Emageon. Acuo makes grid software for medical image management tools.

• John Lanzafame was named interim CEO of Biophan Technologies (Pittsford, New York). Lanzafame joined Biophan in 2004 as VP of business development and most recently was COO. Biophan bills itself as a developer of next-generation biomedical technology.

• Tenet’s Southern States Region (Dallas) said that Teresa Urquhart has been promoted to CEO of Coastal Carolina Medical Center (Hardeeville, South Carolina). Urquhart has served as interim CEO at Coastal Carolina since Tenet acquired the hospital on July 1. Tenet Southern States comprises 12 acute care hospitals in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina and South Carolina.

• Keith Taft was named GM of the UltraTape division of Delphon Industries (Hayward, California). Previously Taft was COO at Advanced Material Sciences. Delphon Industries specializes in bringing together high technology products and services.
