• Ruth Johnson was named VP of operations and Curt Hanson was promoted to VP of international sales and marketing of Obagi Medical Products (Long Beach, California). Johnson spent nearly 20 years at Medtronic; Hanson has been director of international sales at Obagi since 2005. Obagi specializes in topical aesthetic and therapeutic skin health systems.

Joe Redfearn was named VP of global sales of Resonant Medical (Montreal). Redfearn joins the company from Stereotaxis. Resonant Medical makes 3-D ultrasound image-guided adaptive radiotherapy products.

Walter Rosebrough Jr. was named president/CEO of Steris (Mentor, Ohio), effective Oct. 1, and he has been elected to the company’s board effective that date. Les Vinney, president/CEO since July 2000 will transition from this role and continue as a special advisor to the company until retirement in 2009. Rosebrough was executive VP at Hill-Rom since 2000. Steris specializes in infection prevention, decontamination and health science technologies.

Richard Altieri was named VP and CFO of TissueLink Medical (Dover, New Hampshire). Altieri previously was senior VP of finance and CFO of Straumann USA. TissueLink Medical is a private company that makes disposable surgical devices that are designed to reduce or eliminate bleeding in surgery.
