• Barry Thomas, global leader of Cook Medical’s (Bloomington, Indiana) aortic intervention strategic business unit since 2003, has been promoted to VP of that division. Thomas will also facilitate Cook’s Asian strategic markets. Cook integrates device design, biopharma, gene and cell therapy and biotech for improved patient outcomes.

• Evercore Partners (New York) reported that Francois Maisonrouge and Mark Vander Ploeg will join the firm’s advisory business as senior managing directors. Maisonrouge joins Evercore after nearly 15 years at Credit Suisse; Vander Ploeg joins Evercore after 12 years with Merrill Lynch. Evercore Partners is a boutique and investment firm.

• Randy Sablich has been named VP and general manager of the metrigraphics precision components division of Dynamics Research’s (Andover, Massachusetts). Sablich previously served as VP and general manager for the C4ISR organization within DRC’s acquisition management and engineering group. The fivision’s primary areas of expertise include electroforming, high-density flexible circuits, micro-nozzles/orifice plates, micromechanical parts, precision measurement and control and ion beam etching.
