• Innovative Neurotronics (Bethesda, Maryland) reported four additions to its management and manufacturing divisions. Michael Ross was named director of manufacturing operations. Ross formerly served as VP of engineering /operations for Roper Industries. Dan Ruppa was named director of finance. Ruppa previously worked at Solectron. Richard Eliakim was named director of international business development. The company said that Eliakim developed the strategy for certain implants and intensive care product lines overseas. Sidney Bennett was appointed quality assurance engineer. Bennett was a project manager at DePuy Orthopaedics. Innovative Neutronics specializes in functional electrical stimulation.
• Irwin Gruverman has reported that he is resigning from the chairmanship and CEO positions at MFIC (Newton, Massachusetts). James Little, Ph.D., the company's senior outside director, will assume the duties of interim chairman while the company searches for a new CEO. MFIC produces liquid and suspended solid structures and is a provider of manufacturing systems.
• Glenn Cole has been named CFO of NightHawk Radiology Holdings (Coeur D'Alene, Idaho), effective May 1. Cole has served as an executive of the healthcare segment of The Thomson Corporation since 1996, most recently as CFO. NightHawk Radiology provides radiology solutions to radiology groups and hospitals.
• Jane Murray has been promoted from president to CEO of Qmed (Eatontown, New Jersey). QMed provides clinical information management systems to its health plan customers.
• Timothy Pullen, executive VP and chief accounting officer, has announced his retirement from Tenet Healthcare (Dallas), effective March 31, and Daniel Cancelmi has been named principal accounting officer. Cancelmi will continue as VP and controller. Pullen has been at his current position since 2003, and Cancelmi has held his position since 2004. Tenet owns and operates acute care hospitals and related health care services.
