• Hercules Technology Growth Capital (Palo Alto, California) reported the promotions of Samir Bhaumik and Parag Shah. Bhaumik was promoted to senior managing director and head of Hercules’ technology group in the Palo Alto office. Shah, based in Boston, was promoted to senior managing director and head of Hercules’ life science group. Prior to joining Hercules, Bhaumik was vice president, Western region, of the New York Stock Exchange. Previously, Shah was a senior vice president and group head for Imperial Bank. Hercules is a specialty finance company providing debt and equity growth capital to technology-related companies at all stages of development.

Robert Henn has been named Chief Technology Officer and Christopher Price, PhD, has been named Head of Life Sciences at Liquidia Technologies (Research Triangle Park, North Carolina). Henn has 26 years of experience as chief technology officer at W.L. Gore & Associates. Previously, Price was CEO/president of Nobex. These two additions coincide with the resignation of Liquidia CEO Todd Pope, who leaves to become worldwide president of Cordis Cardiovascular. Board Member Steve Nelson will serve as interim CEO. Liquidia manufactures engineered nanoscale particles and patterned surfaces.

Justin Eggleton has been named director, spine regulatory affairs, of Musculoskeletal Clinical Regulatory Advisers (MCRA). Presviously, he was a lead reviewer in the Orthopedics Devices Branch for the Office of Device Evaluation at the U.S. FDA. MCRA is a consulting firm serving the worldwide orthopedic industry.

• Vision-Sciences (Natick, Massachusetts) reported that Yoav Cohen has been named CFO. Previously, Cohen was managing director of NYC Advisors, a business and financial advisory firm. Vision-Sciences manufactures flexible endoscopic products utilizing sterile disposable sheaths.
