Medical Services International (MSI; Edmonton, Alberta) said that a delegation from Europe is arriving at MSI headquarters today to meet with the company. The meetings are to take place over two days, during which time according to the delegation orders for VScan test kits worth up to approximately $4.8 million are to be negotiated.
The purpose of the meetings is to discuss terms of payment, production schedules, delivery times and delivery locations. The kits must be delivered over an 18-month period starting in November. The test kits being ordered are VScan HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis C.
The company said it expects that successful completion of these negotiations will result in significant additional orders from the Middle East and Eastern Europe, particularly Russia and Ukraine.
The VScan rapid test kit is a single-use, disposable, accurate, cost effective, easy to use, test for the screening of HIV 1 & 2, hepatitis B & C, TB, dengue fever, West Nile, syphilis, malaria and prostate cancer.
