• Laurel Stoimenoff will be promoted to president ofNextCare Urgent Care(Mesa, Arizona). Stoimenoff previously served as NextCare’s vice president of operations. NextCare operates 21 urgent care facilities in Arizona and North Carolina, with three additional locations scheduled to open in Colorado this summer.

• Brent Shafer has been appointed as executive vice president and CEO, sales and service region for North America, for Philips Medical Systems (Andover, Massachusetts), a division of Royal Philips Electronics. Most recently, Shafer was vice president and general manager, Patient Environment Division at HILL-ROM. Philips manufactures X-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, PET, radiation oncology systems, patient monitoring, information management and resuscitation products.
