Donna Boles has been promoted to vice president, human resources forBD (Becton, Dickinson and Co.; Franklin Lakes, New Jersey), effective June 1. Since 2001, Boles has served as vice president, human resources in BD Medical, BD’s largest segment. Boles will succeed Jean-Marc Dageville, who will become vice president for strategic planning and development for the company in Europe. In her senior leadership role, Boles will become a member of the BD Leadership Team and the Development Committee. BD manufactures medical supplies, devices, laboratory equipment and diagnostic products.

John Caloz has been named CFO and treasurer of OccuLogix (Toronto), effective June 1. Caloz succeeds William Dumencu, who will remain with the company as vice president, finance. Caloz served most recently as CFO for IRIS International from 2001-2004. OccuLogix develops an ophthalmology device technology for treatment of age-related macular degeneration.

Mark Goudie, vice president, finance and CFO of WorldHeart (Oakland, California), has left the company. Goudie oversaw the consolidation of the Canadian commercial operations of WorldHeart in Ottawa, Ontario, to Oakland, which is now substantially complete. He has chosen not to relocate from Ottawa to California. Goudie will remain on the WorldHeart board of directors and will continue to serve WorldHeart as a consultant through September. WorldHeart is a manufacturer of mechanical circulatory support systems.
