Ronald Rosenberg has joinedLehmanMillet (Boston), an international marketing communications firm for the medical device and diagnostic marketplace, as manager of public and professional relations. A business and technology journalist, Rosenberg is best known for pioneering business coverage of the biotechnology, high-technology and venture capital industries during a 21-year career atThe Boston Globe. Prior to joining LehmanMillet, Rosenberg worked as a freelancer for several Boston-area public relations agencies.

Don Bailey has been named an independent member of the board of directors of Staar Surgical (Monrovia, California) and will succeed David Bailey (no relation) as chairman of the board. David Bailey will remain president and CEO of the company as well as a director. Staar also reported that John Bily has resigned as CFO to pursue other business interests and will be replaced on an interim basis by Deborah Andrews, the company’s global controller. She has been named vice president and principal accounting officer. In addition, Charles Kaufman, a member of the Corporate Practice Group of the law firm Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, has been named the company’s first general counsel. Staar is a manufacturer of minimally invasive ophthalmic products.
