Chip Jones has been named vice president of marketing forBio-Lok International(Deerfield Beach, Florida), a new position. Jones will lead the launch of Bio-Lok’s new Laser-Lok dual bio-affinity dental implants into the U.S. market. Bio-Lok received its approval to market the Laser-Lok Implants late last year and said it would introduce the new product at its Corporate Forum in September.

The Amacore Group (Tampa, Florida), formerly known as Eye Care International, has hired Mitchell Freeman as acting chief operating officer, and added ophthalmologist H. Jay Wisnicki, MD, as chief medical officer in charge of the PhotoScreener, a portable battery-operated camera designed for the detection of vision disorders in young and pre-verbal children. Previously, Freeman held various senior management positions, including founder and CEO of Interactive Ventures and managing director of Fuji-Wolfensohn. Wisnicki is currently director of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary department of ophthalmology at Beth Israel Medical Center (New York). The Amacore Group owns and operates national discount vision network Eye Care International and is the parent company of LBI Brokerage, distributor of the Eye Care International Vision Plan and the Trans-america Worksite program.
