A story in the July issue of The BBI Newsletter on the 7th World Biomaterials Congress in Sydney, Australia, included some incorrect information on Invibio's (Greenville, South Carolina) Peek-Optima thermoplastic polymer. The polymer is used in a dental implant manufactured by International Medical Implant (Pornichet, France). In addition, ICI Manufacturing uses the Peek-Optima polymer in the manufacturing of orthopedic pins and implants.
