The University of Arizona has divulged nonstructural protein 3 (Nsp3; PL-PRO) (SARS-CoV-2; COVID-19 virus) inhibitors reported to be useful for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

A startup founded by a University of Arizona (UA) professor to bring to market the flexible carbon fiber fabric he invented to repair hard-to-set fractured bones received funding from Tucson-based UAventure Capital. The inventor, Hamid Saadatmanesh, licensed the technology from the university and is developing it through his new company, Medicarbone Inc.
