There is no doubt this year started with a boom for European med-tech companies. Public markets opened in the U.S. and cross-border investors are deploying capital. With many companies looking to conduct clinical trials, raising funds and bringing their devices to the market, 2025 is expected to be prosperous, mitigating the difficulties of the previous two to three years.
Nyxoah SA recently raised $27 million after selling three million shares in a bid to shore up its capital base as it prepares to commercialize Genio — its obstructive sleep apnea technology — in the U.S.
Nyxoah SA reported it successfully raised $3 million to ramp development of its Genio technology for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. This fundraising took the form of private placement of shares on the Nasdaq. They were acquired by Sydney-based Cochlear Ltd., an existing Nyxoah shareholder.
Gilde Healthcare Partners BV raised €600 million (US$658 million) in capital commitments for a new investment fund which will be deployed into companies across Europe and the U.S active in digital healthcare, medical technology and therapeutics. The fund, ‘Venture&Growth VI’, will focus on investing in fast growing companies developing solutions for better care at lower cost.
LONDON – Sleep disorder specialist Nyxoah SA hit the top end of its price range of €17 per share, raising €84.75 million (US$100) million in its initial public offering. Assuming full exercise of the over-allotment option, the company will have a market capitalization of €375.26 million. The shares began trading on Euronext Brussels (EBR:NYXH) on Sept. 18, and had a good first day, closing up 14.7%, at €19.50.
LONDON – Nyxoah SA reported positive clinical results for Genio, its lead-free, battery-less implantable neurostimulation device, showing it resulted in a significant reduction of the severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the world's most common sleeping disorder.
