Medtronic plc has received FDA IDE approval for a pivotal study of its Symplicity Spyral renal denervation (RDN) system in treatment of patients with hypertension. The trial, SPYRAL HTN, is being conducted as part of the firm's multi-phase Spyral HTN global clinical program, which seeks to evaluate the efficacy and safety of its RDN platform.
