ACC consensus supports quantitative coronary plaque analysis

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) issued new scientific statements advocating use of quantified coronary plaque analyses in management of patients with coronary artery disease. Researchers discover how glioblastoma tumors dodge chemotherapy

Researchers at the University of Sydney have uncovered a mechanism that may explain why glioblastoma returns after treatment, and the world-first discovery offers new clues for future therapies. Glioblastoma is one of the deadliest brain cancers, accounting for about half of all brain tumors, with a median survival rate of just 15 months. Rare diseases drive November’s US drug approvals

The U.S. FDA approved 18 drugs in November, down from 20 in October, bringing the total number of clearances to 199 through the first 11 months of the year. The number is about 5% lower than the 209 approvals recorded over the same period in 2024 but more than every prior year. Read More
