LONDON – Disagreement about the ethical issues around Ebola clinical study designs has seriously affected the ability to test effectiveness of possible vaccines and antiviral drugs during the current epidemic, according to Jeremy Farrar, director of the research charity Wellcome Trust, which has put up more than £10 million (US$15.4 million) of emergency funding for trials.
